Bauer Vapor X4 Junior Hockey Skates

For Vapor’s 25th anniversary, Bauer is looking to upgrade the Vapor line to the best it can be for the speedy, agile player. The Vapor X4 is the next upgrade Performance skate and offers great features at an even greater price. Features include a digi comp quarter package, Motion Flex facing, and LS Balance steel.

Skate Fit Profile
The Vapor X4 Junior skates come in sizes 1-3.5 Full and Half, and D and EE widths.

Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile
The skate utilizes a Digi Comp quarter package and outsole, delivering a balance of stiffness and flexibility for excellent power transfer and agility on the ice. The Anaform Upper allows for amazing thermoformability in the skate for a more customized fit.

Liner & Internal Padding
The Bauer Vapor X4 hockey skate is designed with a focus on comfort and performance, incorporating advanced liner and internal padding technologies. The memory foam ankle padding contours to the shape of the ankle, providing a customized fit and excellent support. The Comfort Edge along the top enhances overall comfort and reduces pressure points on the turn while skating and the sublimated liner’s moisture-wicking properties are there to help keep your feet dry and comfortable.

Lacing System
The skate features the Motion Flex facing, which allows for increased forward flexion and range of motion, promoting a more natural stride and agility on the ice. Additionally, the skate utilizes traditional eyelets for a familiar and reliable lacing system that allows for easy adjustments and a secure fit.

Tongue
The 40oz felt tongue provides a traditional feel and helps to disperse lace bite pressure, ensuring enhanced comfort during gameplay. The skate’s sublimated liner can also be found along the tongue to keep you comfortable and dry.

Steel/Runner/Profile/Blade Holder
The TUUK Lightspeed Edge holder allows for quick and effortless blade changes, and paired with the LS Balance runner, the skate ensures good balance, stability, and edge control when skating. The 13ft profile further enhances agility and responsiveness, enabling skaters to execute quick turns and swift acceleration.

Toe Cap
For a better overall fit and to negate any unused space within the boot, Bauer turned to using an asymmetrical toe cap, a concept that has been observed in previous high-end Bauer skates.

Insoles
The Vapor X4 uses Bauer’s Form Fit footbed, which is made of a contoured foam material that molds to the shape of the player’s foot over time. This helps provide a personalized fit and improves overall comfort by reducing pressure points and enhancing stability.

Graphics
The X4 looks very similar to the X5 Pro with a black base and red liner, but lighter white speed accents on the sides of the boot. The Bauer logo can be seen clearly on the back in silver.
